Often called striped cheetah, the 'riscadilho’ has been present in the Portuguese textile culture since the 19th century in the Estremadura area.
Hand-woven cloth (cotton web and wool weft) was present in the skirts or skirts of women's dress from the poorest villages.

It was in my great-grandmother's skirt that I first saw the 'riscadilho’ technique for the first time.
A beautiful, heavy skirt, woven from cotton and wool and dyed in walnut shell, presenting a clever combination of wonderful stripes.
This collection is born as a way to honor all the weavers that in their looms gave life to the ‘riscadilho’.

Front and back of pillow is handwoven continuously in cotton (yearn and textile waste) , finished with a zipper. Machine wash cold, air dry.

Mais conhecido como chita às riscas , o riscadilho esteve presente na cultura têxtil portuguesa desde do séc XIX na zona da Estremadura. Tecido em teares manuais  ( teia de algodão e trama em lã ) esteve  presente nas saias ou saias de ombros do traje das mulheres das aldeias mais pobres.

Foi na saia da minha bisavó que vi o riscadilho pela  primeira vez . Uma linda saia ,  pesada , tecida em algodão e lã e tingida em casca de noz apresentava uma conjugação de riscas maravilhosas.

Esta coleção nasce como forma de homenagear todas as tecedeiras que nos seus teares deram vida ao riscadilho.

Frente e costas foram tecidas em algodão (fio e desperdício têxtil ) , terminadas com um fecho . Lavar à máquina em água fria e secar ao natural.
